Immortal Fire - Melbourne Bach Chamber Choir
The Melbourne Bach Chamber Choir, under the baton of Rick Prakhoff, will perform a concert in celebration of music at All Saints’ Anglican Church, St Kilda East, on Saturday 23 November at 7.30pm. Composer and organ virtuoso Calvin Bowman will accompany the choir.
The programme is inspired by St Cecilia, the patron saint of music, whose feast day is 22 November. Benjamin Britten was born on this day.
The concert features works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Benjamin Britten, Zoltán Kodály and Frank Bridge, expressing their love and gratitude for the gift of music.
