St Matthew Passion                         Friday 19 March 2010

All Saints' Anglican Church, Chapel St, St Kilda East at 7.30 pm

The Melbourne Bach Choir is delighted to present a performance of the complete J S Bach St Matthew Passion on Friday 19 March 2010. 

We are thrilled to be performing this magnificent work under the enthusiastic leadership of our musical director Rick Prakhoff.

 

We are very excited to announce that we have a wonderfully gifted and experienced group of soloists for this performance, including Joshua Bloom as Christus and Paul McMahon as the Evangelist. We also have six gifted singers as principal soloists and two orchestras will accompany the soloists and three choirs.

We have succeeded in booking the All Saints’ Anglican Church in East St Kilda for the concert. The church has a  marvellous acoustic and has recently been brilliantly refurbished.
