MBC 2016 Season


We have a very exciting programme for 2016 to celebrate our tenth anniversary.

JS Bach St Matthew Passion

Ten outstanding soloists will join us on Friday 25 March (Good Friday) at 2.30 pm to perform this wonderful work, this Passion was our first performance in 2006.

The soloists will include 
Andrew Goodwin (Evangelist),
Warwick Fyfe (Jesus), Lorina Gore & Jacqueline Porter (Sopranos), Sally-Anne Russell & Belinda Paterson (Mezzo-sopranos), Henry Choo & Michael Petruccelli (Tenors), and Andrew Collis & Jeremy Kleeman (Bass-baritones).

Melbourne concert goers will be able to hear this great work for the first time since about 1947.

The performance will be at the Melbourne Town Hall on Sunday afternoon, 18 September.

  2016 Scholarships



We are thrilled to announce that in 2016 we will celebrate our tenth anniversary by offering eight choir scholarships for singers aged 17 to 29. 

Auditions were held on 30 January and the winners will be announced shortly. 

These scholarships have been generously funded for their first year by the Ian Potter
Foundation. MBC is working hard to build up a fund to continue these scholarships beyond 2016. All donations to the choir will be directed towards this fund.
